Hub Ottawa - a new, dynamic social innovation centre in Ottawa - provided urbanforest founder, Kyla Farmer, with the opportunity to showcase the initiative in a Q&A style session at their 3rd Hub & Spoke on February 29th, 2012. This was a wonderful opportunity to inform a large audience about what we do, and where we want to go. We had a lot of fun, and hopefully will be able to get video footage to show you how it went. For those in the Ottawa area, make sure to drop in to Hub Ottawa at 71 Bank St., 6th floor. Open 7 days a week, and here to help you foster ideas, launch a business or organization, and welcome you into a community energized for positive social change in Ottawa.
In the photos are Leah from Nia Kaia - a local eco-friendly jewelry business, Malorie from Ef Magazine, and urbanforest founder Kyla. We hope to have Nia Kaia style accessories for an upcoming photoshoot!
P.S. Kyla was sustainably dressed for the event, wearing clothing from a clothing swap!
A sustainable future is not just an aspiration. Hub Ottawa and BioRegional, an innovative environmental organization, invite you to join us in a unique 4-hour workshop to create a One Planet Action Plan - a roadmap for creating a truly sustainable space at the Hub. The outcome will create a model in our region for 21st century lifestyles that meet the challenges of environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
